It seems the 419 email scam is live in well in now lives in Silicon Valley. Alec Saunders reports that a venture capitalist has been emailing startups saying "I am working with two Tier 1 funds that have strong interest in your next round." The catch. $6,750 up front. Rick Segal has reported further.
But that's not the end of the story. If you Google the spammer, then Alec ranks pretty high. A little bird told me Hugh has decided to get the lawyers involved. SPAM and lawyers? Hmmm!? Can you get any lower?
