Blog Comment SPAM attack

Filed in archive by randy on March 6, 2006

Today was the beginning of a brand new blog comment SPAM attack on my KBCafe blogs. Hundred of comment SPAM, each slightly different, so that I couldn't isolate a pattern and ban just that pattern. It took an entire 30 minutes to schedule the hundreds of comment SPAM for deletion. Of course, they are targeting more than just myself and most of the other blog comment SPAM is sticking. I've decided that I need to take more action and I'm looking for suggestions. Here's my initial thought.

  • Look-up the domain owners. Who-is will have phone numbers and email addresseslinks.

  • Publish these lists.

My initial reservation was that many will simply be hosting services like Blogspot. At this point, I'm pretty fed up with Google and the likes and I'm prepared to say they are harboring Internet terrorist.
