Desperate for diggs?
Filed in archive Spam News on October 5, 2006
I know we all love our blogs to be read, love the attention and the comments, but where should one draw the line? It seems that there will always be people ready to pay to get in the spotlight and also people ready to do that for them.
As Peter Da Vanzo of Blog@vn7 reports, the user/submitter service offers diggs galore, for a formidable sum of $1 per digg + $20 entrance fee. If one chooses to be on the other side of the food chain, he gets paid $0,50 per 5 diggs. The serbice also provides money back guarantee, Peter writes:
"If user/Submitter is unable to fulfill your requested number of verified diggs within 48 hours, you will be refunded the amount of Diggs paid for but not received within 5 working days."
I don't know about you, but this totally changes my view of Digg.com. Who knows how long these dig spammers have been 'round for? Although Digg has recently employed some new tactics to avoid digg spam, the user/submitter people are most probably slipping through their filters.

This is a trap by digg. I ran a test. I dugg stories through an account on there that I registered and it got banned. But I dugg the same stories on another account (not registered) at the same time and it was fine. I hope digg suffers criminal penalites for this scam. DOWN WITH DIGG

Bill, are you telling me that this is just one big Digg plot to ban various users? I am amazed by this possibility!
