Hackers Attack Anti-Virus Site

According to AVG, the website for antivirus vendor AvSoft Technologies has been hacked, resulting in a virus being installed on visitor's computers. The malware is being hosted in the site's download section.

"They let one of their pages get hit by an iFrame injection," Roger Thompson, AVG's chief research officer said. "It shows that anyone can be a victim. … It's hard to protect Web servers properly."

The malware is a variant of the Virut virus family. Virut is known as a "parasitic infector" virus that is extremely difficult to remove.

"It infects all of your programs on your local hard drives, and then it starts hitting your network drives as well the first time you run," Thompson said.

No one is quite sure how the hack was accomplished as of yet.

  1. It’s bad that your site can get hacked like that. If it can happen to a site like that why not any other less secure site?

The best tool to guard your site against a hack is… not available it seems :-)

  2. real i need halp cuz same mather fuckers attack i need this site complately to be virus if u are hacker thnks

  3. Protect and clean your computer.
If you are like me and tired many different scans in the past looking for something that will protect and clean your computer, give Search-and-destroy a try. I found that the antispyware solution from Search-and-destroy (http://www.search-and-destroy.com) is an excellent choice. It’s less expensive than many of the other scans I’ve tired but it finds the same type of bugs that can damage and ruin my computer. I am so happy with this scanner that I want to tell everyone about it so you can give it a try to. I’m sure you will love it.

  4. hack me if u can
