Hackers Push Trojan With Promises of 'Nude Angelina Jolie' Pics
Filed in archive Spam News on October 1, 2007
According to Information Week, 4 out out 5 infected spam messages last month were sent by hackers promising nude pics of actress Angelina Jolie. Unsuspecting users who fell for the spam got themselves a trojan horse called Pushdo, which hijacks the IE browser and installs all kinds of malware on the infected users PC. This trojan has been circulating since March of this year but within the last month hackers have been stepping up their attacks. The moral of the story? Don't click on any links or open any attachments you may get emailed to you from strangers-and keep those anti-virus programs up to date!
