Judge Orders End to Weight Loss Spam Organization
Filed in archive Spam News on February 9, 2008
A U.S. judge has ordered a Las Vegas company to stop sending spam promoting it's weight-loss and anti-aging products. The judge also fined Sili Neutraceuticals nearly $6.2 million dollars for violating the CAN-SPAM Act and the FTC Act. Judge David Coar said the company violated the FTC act by claiming that users of their hoodia products would lose 40 pounds a month, and that using Human growth hormone would reverse aging. The FTC claims the spam they sent had fake subject lines, no opt out instructions, and no valid postal address for the company. The defendants had no comment on the ruling.

Why won't people just realize they have to move to be healthy? I use a treadmill desk like the TrekDesk and have lots an incredible amount of weight.
