"What's more, at this year's conference in August, they'll be running a Live Spam Challenge, to find the best spam filtering technique out there. Over 24 hours, they'll provide a torrent of spam, along with a few real messages, for entrants to try and filter appropriately. You don't even have to be an attendee to get involved, as they're requesting both on-site and remote participants."
I am excited too, can't wait to sign my name up for participation.
For all of you interested out there, know that "all types of anti-spam technology are welcome including servers, appliances, proxies and personal filters. Participants will be allowed to use any network resource including real-time blacklists, real-time white-lists, reverse-DNS queries, and privately owned and updated databases."
If you're eager to show off your anti-spam fighting skills, check out the Live spam challenge official site and count the days until May 1, when toolkits will be available.
