Make a use out of your Gmail
Filed in archive Anti-Spam Tools on December 10, 2006
Ok, I think that by now every living being in the developed world has their own Gmail account. And with it dozens, if not tens of dozens of invitations, which are translated to new e-mail accounts at your disposal.
Chris from Memos to the Future reminds us that the simplest solutions are usually the most effective:
"While the sheer flood of spam messages seems to be rapidly growing, the number of solicitations that actually reach me have dramatically decreased. This changed mainly because I have taken to using two gmail accounts. I only hand out the address of my first account, which forwards all messages -minus spam emails- to the second.
Gmail's spam filters are surprisingly good: out of roughly 2,000 messages sent to this account, just about 100 got forwarded. 5 of those were spam. Number of mistakes gmails spam filter made: null."
So make a use for all those e-mails waiting to be created and get rid of spam for good, and more importantly, for free.
