According to the Guardian, over half a million PC's were infected with malware in just 7 days. Users are being fooled into downloading a malicious trojan made to look like a video or mp3 download. Instead they get the trojan, which floods their desktop with ads. The trojan was able to infect so many computers so quickly because it was planted on filesharing sites like Limewire and eDonkey. Yet another reason to avoid downloading illegal music and video files!
