Spam News

"The attack, launched from a botnet of compromised Windows PCs, witnessed a huge surge in spurious traffic to Spamhaus's web servers from 0900 BST until around 1400 BST. Steve Linford, director of Spamhaus Project, explained that the site was restored to normal operation after technicians were able to filter (null route) attack traffic. It's not immediately clear who launched the attack, which is far from unprecedented."
And this, of course, reminded me of the Bluefrog and their Do not intrude registry, who was forced to close its doors after subjected to vicious DDoS attacks by one spammer.
When are we going to learn, and make spamming illegal (a criminal offense) all over the world? It seems to me, more today than ever, that someone, except spammers and fake Viagra producers, is making big bucks on spam and anti-spam. What do you think?
