Use Your Mobile Phone To Delete Spam
Let's face it, if you work for an employer or have a job that demands that you be reachable anywhere, anytime, chances are you've been given some kind of access to email from your mobile handset. There are many solutions from Blackberry, ActiveSync (Windows Mobile, Nokia), Nokia Intellisync Mobile Suite, Seven, and others. These solutions let you read, write, respond to, and delete email from anywhere.

One of my favorite uses of email from my mobile handset is the ability to delete spam-from anywhere. While it might be a challenge for you to respond to an email on your mobile handset, chances are the ability to read or delete a message is fairly straightforward-even on a mobile handset.

Chances are, if you're looking at your email on your mobile phone, you're got a couple of minutes to kill. And, chances are, even if you've deployed a server-side spam filter such as the one by our sponsor, GFi, some spam will find a way through the filters. It's also fairly likely you'll be able to tell you've got spam, even from the small amount of the message you can see in your mobile inbox.

If you're killing some time anyway, and you're probably getting at least some spam, why not kill it from your mobile phone to kill time? That way, when you get back to your desk, you can focus on all the real email that's there. What do you think?
